I enjoy versatility, collaboration and building values together.
The majority of my career has been as an individual contributor. During this time, I had the opportunity to work on many aspects of the UX process. I've been the sole UX designer on some teams, and one of many on others. I've worked with various business domains, including professional services, manufacturing, consulting, and software as a service (SaaS).
User experience is often seen as secondary, to a project, rather than an essential part of its creation. Over the years working with various product teams, I've found that the best way to get a commitment from stakeholders and team members is to integrate them into the process from the beginning. This results in a smarter design, because the user experience becomes the responsibility of the entire team and not just one person.
The story so far...
I began with print & production design at a small advertising agency & then moved on to E-learning as a visual designer where I was drawn into UI & Interaction Design. My need to explore & experience new web & mobile technologies, which saw me switching between a couple of jobs in a short period of time, took me to a product company that brought in new opportunities to work on a range of products as an individual contributor.
Over the years, I have transformed into a ‘product guy’, who likes to tell (user centric) stories, ideate, build solutions & constantly learn from people. I immerse myself in creative endeavours... whether it is to generate new ideas, think visually, build design solutions, and learn about human psychology, cognitive behaviour, and the myriad possibilities of machine learning.
